Dr. Rick Shinto is the president and CEO of InnovaCare Health. He joined the organization in 2012. Before joining InnovaCare, Shinto was the chief executive officer and president of Aveta Inc. Shinto, who has over 20 years of experience in managed care systems has also worked for several other organizations. Before joining Aveta Inc., he was the chief medical officer of NAMM California.
Shinto began his medical career as an internist and pulmonologist in Southern California. He was later appointed to as the corporate vice president of medical management at MedPartners. He left the position a year later and joined Cal Optima Plan in Orange County, California as the chief medical officer, a position he held until he joined NAMM California.
Rick Shinto received his B.s from the University of California at Irvine. He later earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook before earning an M.B.A from the University of Redlands. He has published several articles on health care and clinical medicine. In 2012, Shinto was named the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year award. Penelope graduated with a B.S in biological sciences from the Binghamton University and later earned her M.S in social work from the New York University. She later got her second masters in public health from the Columbia University. Penelope is the current chief administrative officer at InnovaCare Health. Previously she served as the chief operating officer before she was promoted to her current situation. Before joining InnovaCare, Penelope was the chief operating officer of Aveta Inc. Penelope began her career at AmeriChoice where she served as the corporate vice president for care management and disease management. She has over 20 years of experience with a specialty in government programs and managed care industry.
